Year 6 home learning

Welcome to the Year 6 home learning area.

This page has an overview of work to be completed in the event of a school closure i.e. snow day or if a student is unwell but well enough to complete some work. This work reflects the same learning that the children in school will be completing.

Wherever possible, we will reply to any questions or queries you may have about the work.  We would also like to see what work children are doing, so please use email, google classroom or Dojo to send us photos etc.   

Your child will have an exercise book to use for written tasks.  We expect children to be reading daily for 20 minutes. When writing, we would expect at least a page of A4.  

To access Google Classroom 

To access the Home Learning in our class, you will need to Log into Google Classroom. 

Here are the instructions: 

1. Either search for Google Classroom on the internet or use this link address: https://edu.google.com/ click on

‘Go to classroom’ 

2. Login using your child’s school login;

e.g. email address haroldw@harpurhill.dnfl.org.uk password    Harpur123 

3. Click on the class and find the tab ‘Classwork’ to find each day’s work.
