Year 3 enjoyed an exciting afternoon of ‘Extreme Earth’ art. As part of their ‘What Makes the Earth Angry?’ topic, they studied the animals of the Sahara Desert, Arctic, Antarctic and Death Valley.
They thought about how the animals have adapted to live in these conditions. The children really enjoyed sculpting clay models choosing to make desert tortoises, kangaroo rats and sidewinder snakes from Death Valley; orca wales and Emperor penguins from the Antarctic; Arctic foxes and hares.
