Year 3 and 420 December 2019 (by Jane Sparkes (admin)) |
Wednesday 18th December
Years 3 and 4 have ended their ‘Who First Lived in Britain?’ topic with a fantastic ‘Surviving the Stone Age day’, provided by Katherine from the History Van. Children got to make leather by scraping fur off animal skins, (all artificial!) make arrows, flatten ‘intestines’ to make stretchy string, identify animal bones, milk a sheep, make paint to leave a cave painting, make shell necklaces and grind wheat to make flour plus a whole lot more! Thanks to Team Harpur (PFTA) for subsidising this event.
