Year 3 enjoyed reading ‘Hodgeheg’ by Dick King-Smith. They used their speaking and listening skills to instruct a partner in how to make a clay and matchstick hedgehog.
They wrote their instructions using time words and imperative verbs.
Next week they will be making up narrative dialogues using inverted commas to punctuate the speech between their hedgehog and a friend’s hedgehog
