Jodrell Bank Visit13 November 2018 (by Victoria Giliker (No01)) |
Year 5 had a fantastic trip to Jodrell Bank today (13th November)
They learnt about Tim Peake and his time on the International Space Station (ISS). They then performed activities wearing ‘space’ gloves to see how challenging this was. The children measured their own health through a grip test and a heart rate monitor. They took part in a range of investigations such as classifying rocks to find a meteorite sample, measuring the size of a crater left by a falling meteorite, using a Newton meter for a gravity experiment and a light meter for a sunlight experiment.
A very busy day, with super behaviour!
